Win a Simmons Pearl Stroller!

Thank you to everyone who entered the Simmons Pearl Stroller Giveaway. http://www.random.org/ has selected the winner: #77. Congratulations to Renee of California!
Your Simmons Pearl is on its way! Happy Holidays!!!!

With an infant and a toddler, I love having a stroller that either one of my kids can use. My quest has ended with the Simmons Pearl Stroller. Simmons, the same company that makes the mattresses and kids furniture is now making strollers. The Pearl comes in two colors: Bahama Blue and Orange. Orange is actually one of my favorite colors and I like the fact that it is good for both my boy and my girl! I've used the stroller for over a week and really put it through its paces. What I really love about it is the fact that the seat can face in either direction. For example, Lulu likes to face me, so with her in it, I have her "riding backwards" looking at me as I push. Chip would rather see where is he is going, so the seat easily reverses so he can be forward facing. The Pearl is easy to fold and fairly lightweight at 18 lbs. It has a telescoping handle that easily adjusts which is convenient for Surfer Guy who is 6' 1".

The underbasket is generous and easy to access. The ride is smooth and I am able to steer with one hand easily. Maneuverability is a dream. The Simmons Pearl Stroller is really three strollers in one. It converts to hold a Graco Snugride carseat. It also fully reclines so that your baby is laying flat, bassinet style. It also has two other recline positions and a multi-position footrest. The stroller comes with a foot cover which I haven't tried but I'm sure would be very useful in colder climates. It can accommodate a child up to 40 lbs which will take you quite a ways into toddlerhood. Both Chip and Lulu were very comfortable sitting in it for long walks. The brakes are easy to use and the 5-point harness adds to the safety.

My only complaints are that the sunshade isn't as ample as I'd like, especially important here in sunny Southern California. I also wish it came with cupholders, I dream of cupholders. However, most strollers don't come with them, and you can always add them on.
You can purchase this stroller from many fine retailers including HERE

Simmons, a division of Delta Children's Products has generously offered to giveaway a Simmons Pearl Stroller in orange to one of my lucky readers! Just in time for the holidays. So here is how you enter: The contest begins at 12:01 am PST on Friday, December 12 and will end at midnight on Thursday, December 18*. During the contest period, please enter a comment below, your comment needs to include where in the world you would most want to push the Simmons Pearl and why. You must also include your e-mail address. One entry per person. Failure to complete all three requirements of the comment and/or multiple entries will be cause for disqualification. The winner will be selected by Random.org and I will notify the winner via e-mail. The folks at Simmons will ship the winner their new stroller! Note: Winner must have an address in the United States. Easy and fun, the way holidays and babies should be ;)

I needed one badly since someone stole ours right in front of a friend's house while we were visiting. Can you believe that? I should've known better! I live in Chicago after all!

I would LOVE that stroller! The fact that it can face forward or backward is so perfect for my daughter. She's a preemie so she looks MUCH younger than her age (she's 13 months but is the size of a four month old). The reclining positions sound perfect - because of her small size, the current stroller I have is STILL too big for her to face forward!

Anyway, if I had this stroller, I would LOVE to push it in Ireland and Portugal. My husband and I have tons of family in both countries that we have never visited. We would love to take our daughter there to meet everyone!

We definitely need a new stroller for our brick Cambridge MA sidewalks - our current one gets stuck on every tree stump and uneven bump despite the air-filled tires. The forward and backward is perfect and we'd get lots of use out of the footmuff this winter.

I would love to stroll around New York and soak up some holiday atmosphere. Of course my little guy could face me and we could use the footmuff to keep him warm. We have family and friends there that we never get to see that we could visit. Why do we want it? Because it is always fun to try a new stroller! It seems to be convenient enough that I could fold it in a stroller bag to FLY to New York in my imaginary strolling scenario. :) We are near chilly and snowy Cleveland.

I need a good single stroller!! We have twin one year olds, and sometimes we just want to have individual time with one and take them out alone, but cant because we dont have a good single stroller!

I would push the stroller in the NYC streets- something pretty hard to do with a double stroller!!

At this point, I would most like to push a nice stroller like that anywhere that is NOT covered with snow and ice. Because, as I was reminded on our trek to the grocery store, jerky jerks who don't shovel make stroller pushing especially hard. But since that ain't gonna happen anytime soon, at least with this stroller's warm-looking boot I'd feel confident that the baby would at least stay warm even if I don't.

Anonymous said...

I would love to push this stroller around in El Paso and then in San Diego when we go on vacation this spring because it's lighter than most reversible seat strollers so it won't be as hard to travel with.

This stroller is so cute! The plus is that it is orange (hubby's fave color) so maybe he wouldn't get tired of hearing about it like he does most other baby gear! LOL I would of course love to push it around somewhere on a great vacation but even just here at home in snowy Upstate NY would be wonderful. It is very rare to find a shoveled sidewalk in town (or even a nice, flat one in better weather)so walking my oldest to school can be long and tiring and add to that the youngest who must be carried through much of it if it is too deep. She would love having the option of a reversible seat and riding in style and comfort!

Let's try again, I had technical difficulties the last time I tried to post this so I had to delete and start over...

I would most like to have this stroller so I can toss out my big double ones. I have had singleton stroller envy for 17 months now. Now that my girls are a little bigger, I can comfortably carry one on my back and push one in a single stroller. Plus then it doesn't look like I have twins and I won't get stopped every five feet.

If I had this stroller, I would push it all over New England. My husband is from Boston and I am from Seattle. I love New England in the summer and would love to take walks through the little towns on the cape and on Martha's Vineyard.

thanks for posting this review! I saw that stroller a few weeks back while looking for a single to downgrade our double to. I use a stroller alot to run errands locally while my husband works (he is a Marine recruiter and his schedule is pretty unpredictable), this one intrigued me but I was coming up at a loss as there aren;t many reviews on it yet and I have not been able to find it in stores locally to try out. there are a few similar strollers to this one made by different manufacturers but weigh quite a bit more, the lighter weight is definitely a plus! If I won I would be pushing it around Hershey, Pa, the sweetest place on earth!

I would love to push that stroller down potty-trained, tantrum-free, laundry-free, "yes-Mommy" Lane.... but since that doesn't exist, the stroller would be great for a stroll to the coffee shop for caffeine needed to face poopy-diaper, raging-toddler, laundry mountain.

I would love to push my daughter (and sometimes my son I would guess) around in this stroller. The perfect place to push it would be the streets of Geveva, Switzerland, where my crappy old stroller would look so out of place!

What a nice looking stroller! I would like to push this stroller through all the zoos in the area. The dual facing and multiple recline options would be perfect for those kinds of day trips b/c DS1 is 2 and DS2 is due any day now. So DS1 could run around and see everything while I push DS2, but at the end of the day when he's starting to wear down, I could easily put him in the stroller and wear the baby. Sounds like the perfect set up.

I would be honored to stroll my daughter around Disney World with a really cool stroller. We go to Disney fairly regularly, due to living in Orlando, and an easy to push stroller, with big wheels and a nice basket would make our adventures so much better. This stroller would have lots of adventures and be seen by people from all over the world.
Thanks, Aly alytoll@yahoo.com

Oh, I would SO love to win this stroller! If I could push it anywhere in the world, it would be Ghana, West Africa, because that's the most beautiful and amazing place I've ever had the fortune to visit! The people and the culture are fascinating. Actually, you don't see very many strollers there (most moms babywear), but I have 4 kids 6 and under, so even when I'm wearing one in a sling, I still need a stroller for one or two of the others! Thank you for doing this!

My son loves to travel. Whether it is a quick trip around the block to the corner store or half-way across the globe to his family in Israel, he really enjoys looking out from his stroller and interacting with the world around him. For him to be riding in a Simmons Pearl stroller, he could not only explore all of the wonders that our planet has to offer, but he would be riding in style while doing it. From the tree-lined streets of anytown USA to the high-rises of Tel Aviv, there would be nowhere he could not go!

I can see that there are a lot of moms and grandmas posting very kind, reasonable and sensitive reasons they believe they need the Simmons Pearl. I have a completely selfish motivation, but every now and then a mom has to treat herself to something special.

The Simmons Pearl and I were meant to be together. In March, I am heading to Ireland (my husband's place of origin) with my family and I am not looking forward to having the big clunky old stroller next to all 5 of my sister-in laws with their lightweight, trendy European strollers.

I want to be able to quickly fold my lightweight stroller with an aluminum frame and toss it effortlessly into my father in law's trunk without weighing it down like my current stroller.

No more listening to the snide giggles of others as I struggle to fold it up.

No more struggling to keep up with my sister in laws on a shopping trip. My Simmons Pearl will glide through the streets, narrow sidewalks and tiny aisles without any strain or stress.

And most of all, I'm looking forward to seeing my adorable daughter seated snugly in her 5-point harness with easy close fastener, and safely contained by her bumper bar.

Please think of me as you select the lucky recipient, after all doesn't every woman deserve a chance to blow her sister in laws out of the water?

I would LOVE to push this stroller in New Zealand. Anywhere, actually, but NZ is what I'd pick if I could choose anyplace!

My husband's family was raised there and we have wanted to make the trip for years now. Hopefully it is in our near future! It looks like an awesome stroller, and I love that it can face either way.

I like this stroller b/c it is daddy-friendly with a not-too-macho but just-macho-enough look and lots of neat options like being reversible.
If we won this stroller, I would force my packrat hubby to discard our graco and single jog stroller.
My hubby goes both ways ... yes, he is both a UCLA and USC fan! So we would push Nici to an 'SC football game and a few days later to a UCLA basketball game. You really can't go wrong with orange.

Our favorite place for stroller rides is down the boardwalk in Venice, California. My 4-year-old and 2-year-old love to "help" push their baby sister (9 months old) in her stroller. The gorgeous orange will get us noticed -- not an easy thing to do when surrounded by the ... umm ... "colorful" personalities that hang out in Venice. And when baby girl gets tired of looking at skateboarders, fire-eaters and snake-handlers, I can turn her around and she can look at her nice, boring mommy.

Hawaii, the Bahamas, or even Cancun...all tropical places that I'm sure any mom would love to take a brand new Simmons Pearl Stroller. HOWEVER, for me, the place I would most like to push a Simmons Pearl Stroller is right in my own neighborhood because all that matters to me is that I am with my precious son (and husband) and we are happy and healthy and together. I try never to take that for granted so to me, it's not as important where or why I am with my Simmons, but who I am with! melissa1194@sbcglobal.net

This stroller is beautiful and would love to push it around the neighborhoods of LA that way i can show all the people with the other strollers what they are missing out on. In all honesty my son loves to be in a stroller and for whatever reason ours has broken and do to finances we just haven't been able to get a new one. I would love to be considered for this stroller and thank you for taking a look at my comments. Good luck to everyone.

I absolutely love the orange color. One of my favorite choices! The economy has been pretty bad & has affected us alot. My husbands family all lives in New Mexico, Albuquerque to be exact. We had a new baby in Oct 2007 and his family hasn't had a chance to meet him yet. We have been saving & saving & it looks like we might get to go in Feb.! We always go to Santa Fe for the day & could just imagine ourselve pushing our new Simmons Pearl Stroller down the old historic town, with its cute shops, in Santa Fe. How stylish we will look! Hopefully with a little luck & a prayer we won't have to imagine. Thank you. kamerann1@yahoo.com

First off, love the Orange color of the stroller! One of my favorite colors. With the economy the way it has been we havent' been able to go back to New Mexico, Albuquerque, in about 2 years to see my hubby's family. We have been saving & saving to go back & it looks like it might happen in Feb. I can see us pushing our baby up in Santa Fe where we always spend at least one afternoon visiting. It is absolutly beautiful up there & I know we would look so stylish pushing him around in his new stroller! I really think my husband will enjoy this stroller since there is NO pink on it also!

Awesome stroller! It looks really neat. I would love to get one since ours actually has broken handles and I actually had to duct tape the top to stay on. I know it is unsage but we can't afford to buy one.

I would LOVE this reversible seat stroller so my daughter can face me while we walk...she does not enjoy the stroller we currently have, so I carry here....everywhere! Where would I most like to push her? Everywhere we go! Most of all, in the streets of downtown Seattle on a trip home to see family and friends...but for now I would push her around the Marine Corps base where my husband is stationed. Whether I win or not, thanks for introducing a new and interesting stroller! amldaley at aol dot com.

This Simmons Pearl Stroller would roll great through the malls in Las Vegas. I know that the shopping mall in the Planet Hollywood (formerly the Aladin) takes forever to get around, so the versatility of the positions would allow my son to be in total comfort depending on his mood (whether sleeping, watching Mommy & Daddy, or people-watching with us). This is an incredible stroller and I could only wish to have enough money to own this stroller, and to be able to go to Las Vegas. :-) Christine
